Hi everyone, welcome to the Fertility Stories podcast. I am so excited to be here with you today.
I have been wanting to start this podcast for a very, very long time and I finally took the leap and went ahead and did it. So I'm so excited to be here. And in this first episode, I'm just going to give a background on what the podcast will look like moving forward. I'll introduce myself and I'll give a little bit of background about what types of guests I'll be interviewing on the podcast. So with that, I'll go ahead and introduce myself. My name is
Rebecca Romero. I am the owner of the online fertility business Sprout Fertility and that business was actually previously called Little Life Nutrition and it is now Sprout Fertility. And I help women who are struggling to conceive or want to improve their fertility or want to understand more about their fertility and so I work one -on -one with women to help them improve their diet and lifestyle to
improve their chances of conceiving. And I also work with women who just want to understand more about their menstrual cycle and their fertility in general.
My background is as a nutritionist. I am a licensed dietitian nutritionist and I am a certified nutrition specialist as well. I have a master's degree in human nutrition and functional medicine. So that is my educational background as a nutritionist and business owner. So that's a little bit about me professionally. Personally, I live in Chicago with my

husband Gene and our dog Phoebe and We do not have any children just yet, but we hope to very soon so I do not have a Fertility story of my own to share but I hope to be able to share My own journey and my own fertility story on the podcast one day soon So that's a little bit about me and I actually just want to mention
I was reflecting on this other day when I was planning the podcast and I remember that when I was in college, my freshman year of college, I actually took a podcasting class, which is so funny to think about because I remember absolutely nothing from that class. And I remember I took it because one of my friends told me that it was a very easy elective. And so now I'm trying to remember what I
learned in that class to apply it, but I do not remember much. So I'm have to take a look back at, see if I can find my notes from that class in college. So anyways, let me tell you a little bit more about what this podcast will look like. So I am going to be interviewing men and women week after week to help them highlight their unique fertility.
journey, whether they struggled with infertility or had a unique path to becoming a parent. There's many different paths to becoming parents and I am going to highlight all of those on the podcast. think majority of the stories that are going to be shared on the podcast are going to be people who did struggle with infertility and sharing their journey and the hope with that is that others will be able to
to relate to.

those stories that are shared and hopefully learn something from that or just be able to feel less alone with what you may be going through on your own personal fertility journey. So I'm going to be interviewing guests about their unique stories. And I actually have a few guests lined up already that I'm so excited to share their stories with you. And again, I just hope that hearing these stories help you
feel less alone in your own journey. I think there's a lot of information out there right now, a lot of podcasts and health podcasts and fertility podcasts that help to highlight what you should and shouldn't be doing to improve your fertility, things like that. But I think storytelling is such a great way to...
learn and connect with others. So that's something that I've learned. I mean, I've learned a lot just through hearing other people's stories and I've learned a lot from my own clients, things that I may have not known previously, working with a client that had a specific condition and then I was able to learn from that and apply that knowledge to other clients. So...
I think just hearing other people's stories maybe will help you to relate to them and maybe think about how their journey is similar to yours and how what they went through is similar to your story or.
how your case might be similar and you can take what they learned and apply it to your case. So there's a lot of takeaways from hearing other people's stories and I'm so excited to be able to highlight that for you. So that is the premise of the podcast. I'm very excited to get going and share these stories with you. So that's all I have to share for today.

and next week we will have an interview and I'm so excited for you to hear that interview so make sure you tune in next week for our very first interview. Alright, I'll see you next week. Take care.
